I picked up these men’s jeans from the Goodwill bin store recently (yes I wear worn out men’s jeans – it’s the cheapest way to get “boyfriend jeans”). But when I got them home I realized there was no button! So I decided I might as well fix them and show you guys how I replaced the button.
The video tutorial below will take you through the whole process in about four minutes. 🙂
But, first here’s what you’ll need.
- jeans that need a new button
- a pack of jeans buttons (you can buy these online or at your local craft store, the photo below is the kind I used)* affiliate link
- a pair of vice grips
- a kitchen towel
And here’s the video tutorial
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and were able to save your favorite jeans! If you want to stay up to date with any new sewing and DIY tutorials I release, you can subscribe to my email newsletter below. I would love to have you join 🙂
Have you ever considered using a more unconventional material for a replacement button, such as a small piece of recycled jewelry or a unique vintage button? How do you think this could add a personal touch to your clothing repair?”,
